Fall is upon us. As photographers and nature lovers, this has got to be one of our favorite seasons. The bright red, yellow, and orange leaves create the best backdrop for portraits. This shoot was as spontaneous as it gets. These images feature my wife, Camille (who usually assists me behind the lens). She had 2 dresses in her closet and had never found the right occasion to wear them to. The night before the shoot, she took out the yellow dress and said: "I'm gonna get rid of this dress or give it to someone, I've had it for a few years. It was my maid of honor dress for my sister's wedding but we changed our minds at some point." By the time she finished her sentence, I had already planned this whole shoot out! The next morning we grabbed a chair that sits in our bedroom, which we never really use, and gave it some useful purpose. We also took a second dress I had gifted her on our honeymoon. I knew exactly where we were headed. The adventure continued as we stumbled across beautiful roads, an abandoned barn, tall forest trees. We could not have asked for a better day to shoot. We love the final result and hope you do, too!
